China: Iron ore spot price ease on muted demand ahead of Golden Week

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices dipped by $0.45/dmt d-o-d to $103.45/dmt CFR China on 29 Sep’25 as trading slowed ahead of China’s Golden Week holidays. With most mills completing restocking in the previous week, demand weakened significantly, leading to thin liquidity at Chinese ports. Limited fresh buying interest and cautious market sentiment further pressured spot prices, contributing to the marginal decline.
