China: Iron ore prices rise on improved steel demand

The spot price of iron ore in China rose on 8 Sep’22 on improved sentiment, as recently released data showed an increase in rebar production alongside demand. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices moved up by $2.90/t to $99.80/t CFR China. According to sources, buying interest in the secondary market was marginally lower yesterday due to a slight narrowing of import margins for medium-grade fines.
