China: Iron ore prices rise on buying interest for medium-grade fines

The spot price of iron ore in China rose on 27 May’22 as buyers continued to snap up cargoes offered by miners. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices increased by $3.20/t to $134.45/t CFR China. Import margins between the seaborne and Chinese portside markets remained positive, which encouraged the purchase of seaborne medium-grade fines.
