China: Iron ore prices rise despite limited activity

The spot price of iron ore in China increased on 25 July despite low procurement interest due to thin steel margins. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices moved up by $3.65/t to $104/t CFR China. However, seaborne liquidity remained weak as market participants continued to be cautious and no secondary trades were concluded on the day.
