China: Iron ore prices remain stable amid improved buying interest

The spot price of iron ore in China remained relatively stable on 18 Aug’22, while buying enquiries increased slightly. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices inched up by $0.2/t to $100.6/t CFR China. The recent price drop made market participants wary, while firm bids were few. According to sources, import margins were still present for mainstream iron ore products.
