China: Govt approves two new coal projects in leading industrial hubs

In a bid to ensure sufficient energy supply in leading industrial hubs, the National Energy Administration has approved two new coal mine projects in Ordos and Inner Mongolia. The Guoneng Xingie No. 1 and No. 2 mines, developed by state-run CHN Energy, have an annual production capacity of 8 mnt. The mines lying on the Xinjie Taigemiao mining field have reserves of over 1 bnt of coal.
