China: Ferrous scrap imports up by over 20% m-o-m in August

China’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 52,368 t in Aug’22 as compared to 43,427 t in July, a notable increase of 21% m-o-m, as per SteelMint data.
Japan exports up by 26% with 44,129 t, followed by South Korea and Taiwan at 3,685 t and 1,333 t, respectively.
However, during the period of Jan-Aug’22, imports plunged by 54% as compared to the CPLY.
