China: Ferrous scrap imports fall by over 35%, m-o-m, in June

China’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 14,423 tonnes (t) in Jun’22 compared to 22,714 t in May’22, witnessing a 37% decline on a m-o-m basis.
Japan continued to be the major exporter at 9,157 t of ferrous scrap in June, followed by South Korea at 3,399 t.
On a y-o-y basis, imports plunged 81% as against 76,336 t in Jun’21.
