China’s high-carbon ferro chrome production stood at around 620,000 t in May’22, an increase of 14.64% m-o-m from 541,000 t in Apr. Meanwhile, on a yearly basis, China’s HC ferro chrome production rose by 18% to 2.84 mn t in Jan-May’22. The key reason for higher production was the return to full production capacity in Inner Mongolia where plants operated at optimum levels to take full advantage of lower electricity prices.
