According to customs data, China imported 0.150 mn t of ferro chrome in Aug’21 -down 18% from 0.184 mn t in Jul. Higher ferro chrome prices and the unavailability of high-cost containers have reduced Chinese buying interest for seaborne ferro chrome. China’s ferro chrome imports fell by 9.3%, y-o-y, in Jan-Aug’21 over the corresponding period last year.
