China: Ferro Alloy Imports Up by 7% in Oct’17

According to the Chinese customs, the country has witnessed a hike of 7% in its Ferro Alloy imports.

In Oct’17, China imported a total of 1.69 MnT Ferro Alloys against 1.58 MnT in the previous month. However, on yearly basis, there has been a decrease of 21% as China imported 2.13 MnT in Oct’16.

In Oct’17, China imported 0.23 MnT of Ferro Chrome and 1.46 MnT Chrome Ore. Chrome Ore imports witnessed an increase of 10% M-o-M while Ferro Chrome import is down by 4%.

South Africa is the largest exporter of Ferro alloys to China at 1.22 MnT in Oct’17, registering an increase of 13% M-o-M, followed by Turkey and Kazakhstan.
