China: Ferro Alloy Imports Down by 9% in Nov’17

According to the Chinese customs, the country has witnessed a fall of 9% in its Ferro Alloy imports.

In Nov’17, China imported a total of 1.53 MnT Ferro Alloys against 1.69 MnT in the previous month. However, on yearly basis, there has been an increase of 18% as China imported 1.3 MnT in Nov’16.

In Nov’17, China imported 0.24 MnT of Ferro Chrome and 1.29 MnT Chrome Ore. Chrome Ore imports witnessed a decrease of 11% M-o-M while Ferro Chrome import is up by 4%.

South Africa is the largest exporter of Ferroalloys to China at 1.09 MnT in Nov’17, registering a decrease of 11% M-o-M, followed by Turkey and Zimbabwe.
