Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 23 Jul’21 after remaining stable for three consecutive days. Domestic billet prices stand at RMB 5,200/t ($803/t) inclusive of 13% VAT. Overall billet trading remained modest today. Chinese rebar futures contract for Oct’21 delivery closed at RMB 5,671/t ($876/t), up by RMB 23/t ($4/t) d-o-d.
