Steel billet prices in China’s key steel production hub of Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,990/t ($781/t), including 13% VAT on 25 Oct’21. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery at the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,825/t ($755/t), witnessing a d-o-d drop of RMB 75/t ($12/t) against the closing on 22 Oct.
