Carbon steel billet prices in China’s main steelmaking hub of Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 13 Sept’21, as per SteelMint reports. The prices of domestic billet stood at RMB 5,220/t ($809/t), including 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,642/t ($874/t), largely stable against the closing on 10 Sept.
