Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 3 Sept’21. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 5,040/t ($780/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,408/t ($837/t), witnessing a sharp d-o-d rise of RMB 135/t ($21/t).
