Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 16 Sep’21 after remaining stable for two continuous days. The prices of domestic billet stood at RMB 5,240/t ($813/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,541/t ($860/t), witnessing an increase of RMB 23/t ($3/t), d-o-d.
