Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan market increased by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 19 Oct’21. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 5,220/t ($814/t) inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery on SHFE closed today at RMB 5,546/t ($865/t), witnessing a d-o-d recovery of RMB 124/t ($19/t) against the closing on 18 Oct.
