Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 100/t ($15/t) on 2 Aug’21. Domestic billet prices are at RMB 5,170/t ($800/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. SteelMint notes that overall billet trading continues to be somewhat weak. Chinese rebar futures contract for Oct delivery closed today at RMB 5,414/t ($834/t), witnessing a huge decline of RMB 323/t ($50/t) against the closing on 30 Jul.
