China – the world’s largest consumer and importer of iron ore has recorded crude iron ore production at 73.02 mn t in Jul’20, down 7% as against 78.3 mn t in Jun’20, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The output during Jan-Jul’20 recorded 3% increase to 486.44 mn t compared with CY19 (Jan-July) output at 474.72 mn t.
