China: Copper imports rise nearly 4%, m-o-m, in May

China’s total imports of copper (scrap, semi-finished and finished) rose 3.8% to 623,703 t in May as against 600,661 t in Apr. Imports of copper scrap rose nearly 17% to 158,208 t in May, while imports of semi-finished copper and finished copper materials remained largely stable at 426,472 t and 39,023 t respectively, as per SteelMint data.
