China: Coking coal imports rise sharply by 77%, m-o-m, in Nov’21

China’s coking coal imports recorded a 77%, m-o-m, rise in Nov’21 to 7.74 mn t, customs data shows. On a y-o-y basis, imports rose by 108%. The country imported 1.1 mn t of anthracite coal last month. In Jan-Nov’21, total coking coal imports stood at 47.2 mn t, up 31% y-o-y, while anthracite imports were at 8.7 mn t, up 43% on the year.
