Coke plants in China’s Inner Mongolia region hiked metallurgical coke prices by RMB 100-120/t ($15.70-18.84/t) on 6 Dec’21, although there has been no response from major market participants as yet. Earlier in Nov, met coke prices in China underwent successive rounds of declines totalling RMB 1,500/t ($235/t). All these price reductions had been accepted by the coking plants.
