China’s coal production rose 15% y-o-y to 395.7 mnt in March 2022. The average daily coal output during the month was recorded at 12.8 mnt, the highest on record, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed. State planner NDRC aims to keep daily output levels at 12.6 mnt this year besides expanding total domestic production capacity by 300 mnt, and increasing coal reserves to 5% of local consumption.
