China: Coal production in Oct’25 slips y-o-y, while coke output rises

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s raw coal production in October 2025 reached 410 mnt, down 2.3% y-o-y, with a daily average of 13.12 mnt; cumulative output in Jan-Oct’25 was 3.97 bnt, up 1.5% y-o-y. In the same period, coke production totalled 41.9 mnt in Oct, up 1.5% y-o-y, with Jan-Oct’25 output at 419.05 mnt, marking a 3.3% increase from the previous year.
