China’s coal imports rose by 23% y-o-y to 74.52 mnt in the first two months of CY’24 as against 60.64 in Jan-Feb’23. Chinese buying interest was on the higher side amid improved buying pattern due to Chinese heating season. The imports may not see significant rise in coming month as the temperatures have stabilised.
