Coal imports in China in Oct’17 were lower by around 21.42% over the imports in the previous month, according to an analysis on the latest data released by China Customs.
In Oct’17, around 21.28 MnT of coal (alongwith lignite) was imported in China, and that was also lower by around 1.3% against the same month of the previous year.
Exhibiting a dissimilar pattern, coal imports in that country during the Jan-Oct’17 period were up by around 12.1%, at around 226.12 MnT, over the Jan-Oct’16 period.
On the other hand, coal exports from China also were down remarkably by around 82.61%, at around 0.12 MnT, over the exports in Sep’17. On a year-on-year comparison, the exports during the tenth month of this year were lower by around 86.67%.
During the Jan-Oct’17 period, coal exports from that country were at around 6.71 MnT, a decrease of around 6.7% against the corresponding period of the preceding year.
