China being the largest Chrome Ore buyer has recorded an import of 9.3 MnT in CY16 (Jan-Nov’16) which is 11% lower in comparison to 10.39 MnT during CY15.
China has imported Chrome Ore worth USD 1.9bn in CY15 against USD 1.4bn in CY16 (Jan-Nov).
South Africa, Turkey and Iran came out to be the largest exporters of Chrome Ore to China among various others.

South Africa is the biggest exporter of Chrome ore in the world. China imported a major 73% of its Chrome Ore requirement from South Africa in CY16 (Jan-Nov), followed by Turkey with a share of 10%.
