China: Chrome ore imports rise by 41% m-o-m amid rise in demand in Mar’22

China’s chrome ore import increased by 41% to 1.466 mnt in March 2022 from 1.029 mnt in February 2022. The rise in imports was led by strong domestic demand and low stock at China port. Meanwhile, on a yearly basis, Chrome ore import was increased by 4%, and major exporting countries that stood for China were South Africa (1.177 mnt) followed by Turkey, Zimbabwe, and Pakistan.
