Comilog, the world’s largest manganese ore miner, has lowered its offers for Gabonese lumps (Mn 44%) by $0.08/dmtu to $5.3/dmtu on a CIF China basis for Feb’22. A decline in demand of manganese alloys due to winters coupled with a drop in silico manganese prices on an m-o-m basis led to a marginal drop in Gabonese manganese ore block prices. In Dec’21, China’s silico manganese (60-14) prices dropped by 9% m-o-m compared to the previous month.
