China: Billets prices stable d-o-d even as rebars futures edge up

Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable d-o-d at RMB 3,850/t ($560/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 17 Feb’23.
Stability in finished steel prices has kept billets prices steady, SteelMint notes.
China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,167/t ($606/t), an increase of RMB 21/t ($3/t) d-o-d.
