China has recorded growth in production of copper by 0.7%, while aluminium production rose 0.8%, and zinc production rose by 2.1% m-o-m in October 2022.
Overall production rose marginally to 12.1 mnt in October as against 12.002 mnt in September.
Zinc production rises 2.1%
The country recorded a 2.1% increase in zinc production to 595,000 t in October as against 583,000 t in September.
Export volumes of zinc has seen downfall in the country by 35% to 6,803 t in oct’22 as against 10,485 t in the previous month.
On y-o-y basis, zinc production rose 12% as against 532,000 t in October 2021.
Production in January-October was at 550,8000 t, an increase of 1.10% compared to 544,8000 t in the same period last year.
Aluminium production decreases 0.8%
China’s aluminium production increased 0.8% to 105,57000 t in October as against 10,473000 t in September.
In line with decrease in production, aluminium exports also declined by 7.6% m-o-m to 538,011 t as against 582,673 t in sept’22
Aluminium production rose by 12% y-o-y as against 942,3000 t in October last year.
Production in January-October was at 101,781000 t, an increase of 4.73% compared to 971,84000 t in the same period last
Copper production increases slightly
China’s copper production rose 0.8% to 953,000 t in October as against 946,000 t in September.
Although production level remained almost stable, copper exports volume dropped by 12% m-o-m to 58,965 t as against 67,059 t in the last month.
Copper production rose by 11% y-o-y as against 855,000 t in October last year.
Production in January-October was at 906,4000 t, an increase of 5.83% compared to 856,4000 t in the same period last.
