China’s Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd (Baosteel) has posted 36.9% y-o-y loss in its net profit in H1 CY’20 due to the impact of COVID-19 and rising raw material prices. The company’s net profit stood at RMB 4 billion as compared to RMB 6.34 billion in H1 CY’19, as per company’s filing. It produced 22.43 mn t steel products in H1 CY’20.
