China’s Baoshan Iron and Steel (Baosteel) has rolled over prices of various steel products except some grades of grain-oriented electrical steel sheets. Prices stand flat for the second consecutive month in sync with those for Jul ’21 shipments. As the company had kept prices higher than other mills, the decision was taken to keep prices unchanged.
Also, the drive towards carbon neutrality by 2030 is putting a leash on production volumes, which is expected to push prices higher in the intermediate term.
