Baosteel, China’s leading steel producer, produced 11.878 mnt of iron, 13.095 mnt of steel, and sold 12.524 mnt of commercial billets in Q1CY’24. This resulted in a total consolidated profit of RMB 2.79 bn ($0.38 bn), exceeding their first-quarter export target of 1.52 mnt. The company achieved full production and sales in Q1, driving value creation.
