Chile’s state-owned Codelco copper mine stopped its Ventanas smelter operations from 6 Jun’22 due to environmental issues. The plant is located at Puchuncavi-Quintero industrial complex and is known as one of the world’s largest copper producers. The halt will be maintained until the maintenance is completed and the operational adjustments are implemented, as per the recent company’s announcement.
