Spot trades of sponge iron remained weak among Raipur based producers. This has forced plants to lower their offers by INR 200/t to INR 24,900-25,000/t exw, for P-DRI. Although no fresh deals were reported from local players amid competitive offers from outside Raipur-based suppliers which is at around INR 24,800/t FoR. Deals of around 2,000 t P-DRI were concluded by outside Raipur based plants. Participants highlighted that major buyers today remained away from procurement amid market uncertainty.
