Sponge iron prices in Raipur have increased by INR 400/t, d-o-d, on resumed buying interest. About 5-6 manufacturers have reported P-DRI trades of around 3,000-4,000 t in total at INR 19,800-19,900/t exw-Raipur as against offers of INR 19,500-19,600/t exw, on last Saturday. After concluding decent number of deals, the major plants in Raipur closed their sales and expect prices to increase further tomorrow.
