Following a surge in pellet & iron ore prices, the sponge iron makers have also raised their offers significantly. Today, sponge P-DRI offers in Raipur stood at INR 25,300-500/t exw, which is an all-time high since the data maintained by SteelMint from Jul’2012. Sources believe that prices in near-term may remain strong due to demand-supply mismatch along with high cost raw materials.
