The major sponge producers in Raipur (central India) reported quite dull demand and sharp corrections in prices. Today, offer for P-DRI stands at INR 15,100-300/t, while few buying inquiries were reported at INR 15,000/t ex-plant. Sources assume, since the plants are unable to fetch healthy orders, the prices may remain under pressure due to rising inventories.
