Medium & Small scale Industries in Raipur, Central India have increased their prices over rise in demand.
“Buying interest have improved as there are anticipations that prices to move up further post GST implementation” as reported by trade participants.
Further the mill owners mentioned that, stockiest who were holding purchases have now resumed their bookings for Jul’17 deliveries.
SteelMint’s price assessment for 12mm rebar in Raipur are reported at INR 29,800-30,000/MT ex-works, excluding ED (12.5%) & VAT(5.0%). The prices surge about INR 200-300/MT on daily assessment & INR 500/MT (USD 8) since starting of the week.
Raipur, is the hub of medium & small scale industries and also the second largest rebar producer in India which contribute about 10-12% of the total rebar production.
Meanwhile, offers in the other regions like South, West & East remained unaltered with minimal trade activities.
