Raipur (central India) based major sponge manufacturers have reported no major deals today due to decent bookings made yesterday. About 8,000-10,000 t sponge deals were concluded yesterday at INR 18,700-19,300/t exw. Today the fresh offers increased to INR 19,500-700/t exw but no deals have been recorded. Producers believe, buying will resume by furnaces in a couple of days with resumption in operations post Vishwakarma Pooja.
