SteelMint in conversation with market participants learned that major Raipur (central India) based pellet manufacturers have decreased offers today by INR 700/MT.
Current offers for Fe 63% grade stands at INR 6,700/MT (ex-Raipur, GST extra) as against last offers of INR 7,400. One of the major pellet makers is still not offering as it has taken maintenance shutdown at one of its plant.
According to market sources report to SteelMint, Central India based sponge makers have sourced pellets from Odisha in the last couple of weeks at competitive offers around INR 6,600/MT (FoR Raipur).
SteelMint P-DRI Assessment (Feb 12, 2020) decreased by INR 500/MT W-o-W to INR 18,500/MT as against INR 19,000/MT (Ex-Raipur) a week before.
