Central India pellet offers move up amid increasing P-DRI prices – Pellet offers for Fe 63% grade in Raipur have moved up by INR 250/MT W-o-W and are heard to be in the range of INR 4,700-4,800/MT (basic).
According to market sources report to SteelMint, a Raipur based pellet maker has recently sold pellets to a sponge manufacturer at INR 4,700/MT (basic).
Pellet sponge (P-DRI) prices in Raipur have gone up by INR 750/MT W-o-W and are hovering in the range of INR 14,700-14,800/MT (ex-works).
JSPL sold few pellet rakes in domestic market at INR 4,000/MT (loaded to wagons) – Barbil based pellet maker – Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) which was not seen giving offers in domestic market since last 2-3 months, has recently supplied 7-8 pellet rakes in domestic market, as per trade sources. According to sources report, the pellets rakes booked were at INR 4,000/MT (loaded to wagons). Presently company is again holding sales and will open fresh bookings from 02 Jan’17 onwards.
Market sources also shared that Barbil pellet offers are likely to move up further by INR 100-200/MT next month, amid increasing prices of semi-finished steel market.
