According to the market participants report to SteelMint, Raipur (central India) based pellet manufacturers have increased offers to INR 6,500/MT as against yesterday INR 6,300/MT (ex-Raipur, GST extra).
As per the sources, pellet makers have revised pellets offers after booking 50,000-70,000 MT pellet at INR 6,300/MT yesterday.
P-DRI prices are also increased sharply by INR 800-900/MT to INR 20,000/MT against INR 18,800/MT a week ago.
Odisha’s based largest merchant miners have increased iron ore prices in this week’s by INR 200-300/MT in both lumps and fines, therefore, it is expected pellet prices may move further.
SteelMint’s has also learned from the sources that for regular grade pellet (Fe 64+/-1%, 3% alumina) export also increased by USD 5-6/MT to USD 116-117/MT, CFR China which was USD 111-112/MT, CFR China earlier last week. Prices have increased on anticipated supply shortage post Vale dam collapse.
