On May 26 Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC) ordered JSPL to submit month wise (12 months) details regarding its captive generation, consumption, and sales of power to the consumers in Jindal Industrial Park within couple of days. CSERC directed JSPL to ensure the supply of uninterrupted power to JIP till the further order.
As per the government guidelines the linkage coal can be used only for power generation from captive power plants for use for non-regulated steel business not for business of JSPL to supply power to Jindal Industrial Park (JIP). There shall not be any surplus power available for supplying to JIP.
The commission also ordered the petitioner to submit an affidavit confirming that they are properly complying the order of the APTEL (Appellate Tribunal For Electricity) within two days.
And submit signed Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) along with an affidavit confirming that they are properly complying with the order of the APTEL.
The next hearing date of the case is fixed on June 1, 2018.
JSPL on 11th May through an official notice informed JIL industries the power supply will be disrupted from June 1.
