Raipur-based steel mills have reported wire rod export deals to neighbouring Nepal for one rake (2,500 t) controlled chemistry (SAE 1008) material at around $635/t as well as another mini rake (up to 1,500 t) for commercial grade last week at $610/t, (exw, loaded on to rake). The freight cost from Raipur to Nepal is about $25-30/t, on CPT basis. As per SteelMint reports, the trade reference price for buyers of commercial grade wire rod in the domestic market is at INR 44,300-44,500/t ($612-615), exw-Raipur.
