Bhubaneswar: The Coordination Cum Empowered Committee (CEC) is scheduled to meet on 15th of this month to review the progress on the mining auction to be conducted by several state governments. The meeting will be chaired by union mines Secretary Balvinder Kumar and mines secretaries of several state governments including Odisha, Karnataka, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Telengana, Rajasthan are expected to attend the meeting.
According to government sources, CEC will review mining block wise status and auction preparedness of the state governments. The union mines ministry has asked the state governments to furnish details of the auction preparedness.
Apart from mining auction CEC will also discuss several other issues like DMF( district Mineral Foundation ) preparedness, Extension of mining leases, minor mineral rules and pending Environment and Forest clearance of mining leases.
