Coordination-cum-Empowered Committee (CEC) has scheduled a meeting on Mineral Development and Regulation on 03 Feb’17. The meeting will be held under chairmanship of Secretary of Mines.
The meeting will be conducted at 10:30 am in New Delhi.
The agenda for the meeting are mentioned below:
Auction preparedness of blocks for FY18 already under preparation by the states – The block-wise preparedness of other blocks for auction by respective state governments in FY18 will be discussed.

2. Outcome of cases covered under section 10A(2)(c) will be discussed.
3. Status of project implementation of PMKKY – The status of collection of the money accrued in the DMF funds by the state Government and its utilization would be discussed.
4. Status of clearance associated with 21 auctioned blocks – The details about issuance of LoI, upfront payment if any, mining plan and preparedness for EC and FC clearances to be indicated blocks wise. Ministry of Mines has developed a portal i.e. Transparency, Auction Monitoring and Resource Augmentation (TAMRA) which is being launched shortly.
5. Curbing illegal mining through Mining Surveillance System (MSS)- The MSS has been developed for monitoring major mineral leases with the help of remote sensing to check any illegal mining cases. The States are required to get the field verification done of the trigger generated by the MSS within the specified time period of 7 days, through the district level officers.
