Wire rod prices fall by INR 1,000/t on weak buying enquiries in central India
Raipur-based steel wire rod manufacturers observed weak trade enquiries and transactions over the last couple of days, which resulted in prices dropping by INR 1,000/t to INR 59,500/t exw. The decline in semi-finished steel prices and the lack of trading activity in the spot market forced suppliers to offer trade discounts around INR 1,500/t.
